This web page has lines of code that attempt to embed using the ActiveX controls in the HTML document so that Internet Explorer on Windows will automatically launch the embedded player.  Additional code is in the inside the object tags to ask Netscape browsers to load Microsoft windows media player components.

Note that this will not always work, especially if Active X features are disabled.
